This is the Arctic Grayling “Jumping Fish” Pendant.
Once native to northern Michigan(near me), but has now gone extinct, due to lumbering in the last century, it is still found in a few places within the United States. There are small populations of it out west and you can find it in pretty good abundance in Alaska.
The unusual shaped, colorful dorsal fin is what is the unique feature of this species. It comes with a black enameled eye.
The bale is created by a wire wrap mimicking the fly line coming from the fish’s mouth and curling upwards and coils around the cord or chain of your choice.
It is available on a 2mm or 3mm plain leather cord or the 3mm braided leather cord. It is also available alone without a chain. The Sterling silver chain options have expanded to an adjustable Spiga or Wheat chain that has a maximum length of 20″ but can easily slide up to to make it as short as you’d like. It also is available with a new 1.2mm snake chain at no additional charge as it cost the same as the leather cords. The other two options are 1.6mm and 2.5mm snake chains.
The other new option is the highlighted version. I use the black enamel paint and go over the fish to help emphasize all the details. A photo sample is in the photo gallery. It is available on it’s own listing.
All gold orders need min 2 weeks. I can order 14K Yellow or White Gold snake chains if interested. Call or email to discuss.
