This is the Dorado (Mahi-Mahi) “Fish On” Pendant. This fish has three interchangeable names to it. I think its a co-locally thing. It’s called Dorado, or Mahi-Mahi or Dolphinfish.
It is a unisex pendant like all my “Fish-On” Pendants are.
It is 50mm long which is about 2 inches long.
Have you been fortunate to catch a Dorado? Have you caught one on a fly rod?
When the open shore calls but there is no vacation in sight, relive the beauty and peace through one of these gorgeously detailed creations. Tight Lines Saltwater Collection makes a perfect gift for any fishing enthusiast.
Each piece of the Saltwater Collection commemorates that rare catch you had on a vacation you will always remember. The thrill of seeing a Dorado jumping out of the water will always bring you back to that special trip.
There is such an excitement in hooking a Dorado. Many of you have asked me to create some Saltwater fish pendants to commemorate that rare catch you had on a guided trip in the tropics. It is great gift to yourself or a loved one to commemorate the catch!
The bale is created by a wire wrap mimicking the fly line coming from the side of the fish’s mouth and curling up and soldered to the back of the dorsal fin. The line then curves upwards and coils around the cord or chain of your choice. It is available in 3mm plain or braided black leather cord or a 2.5mm snake chain.
Another great option is the hand enamel painted version. I use a very tough and unique painting process and do a realistic rendition. It’s like enamel but actually tougher and its not baked. It also has a clear coat that cures and seals it in. They are a favorite item at the trade shows. Please allow an extra 5-7 days to paint and curing time.
All gold orders need min 2 weeks. I can order in 14K chains. Just email or call me to discuss options and prices.
Enamel Painted photos coming soon.
