This is the Highlighted Arctic Grayling Jumping Fish Pendant in Sterling Silver. It is shown on the 1.6mm Snake chain.
The Arctic Grayling was once native to northern Michigan (near me). It went extinct, due to lumbering and over commercial fishing in the last century, yet it is being reintroduced. It is still found in a few places within the United States. There are small populations of it out West like Yellowstone National Park and you can find it in pretty good abundance in Alaska.
The unusual shaped and colorful dorsal fin is what is the unique feature of this species.
The bale is created by a wire wrap mimicking the fly line coming from the fish’s mouth and curling upwards and coils around the cord or chain of your choice.
It is available on a variety of black leather cords and Sterling Silver Chains.
This is the highlighted version. I use the black enamel paint and go over the fish to help emphasize all the details, by adding contrast.
