This is the Arctic Grayling Jumping Fish Pendant in Sterling Silver.
Once native to northern Michigan(near me), but has now gone extinct, due to lumbering and over fishing in the last century; it is still found in a few places within the United States. They are reintroducing them back in Michigan very soon. There are small populations of it out west and you can find it in pretty good abundance in Alaska.
The unusual shaped, colorful dorsal fin is what is the unique feature of this species. It comes with a black enameled eye and transitioning into a black diamond eye soon.
The bale is created by a wire wrap mimicking the fly line coming from the fish’s mouth and curling upwards and coils around the cord or chain of your choice.
It is available on a variety of Sterling Silver chains and a few black leather cords.
The other option is the highlighted version. I use black enamel paint over the dots and grooves on the tail and fins to add contrast. A photo sample is in the photo gallery. It is available in its own listing.
Due to the fluctuation of the Gold market, I am not listing the gold option at this time. If interested, just contact me for the current market price. All gold orders need a minimum of 2 weeks as they are made to order. I can also order 14K Yellow or White Gold snake or wheat style chains if interested.
